It's a NEPHEW!

Jolly and Cherie went to have their ultrasound last Friday and we are having a little nephew. According to the doctor, Jolly Jr. weighs 11 ounces and is 11 inches long. Check out the ultrasound. The end is the best part! He's kicking.

Kemah Trip

Last week I was able to go home to visit my family. I ate seafood & mexican non-stop. We even had our first family crawfish broil. Yummm! I finally met Beck, Nathan's sweet girlfriend, and I adore her.

Redtails & Other Birds of Prey

We didn't realize that when we decided to put out bird feeders for the finches and sparrows that we were also becoming the feeding grounds for birds of prey. During the past week we've witnessed our friendly little birds being dive-bombed by kestrels & hawks! Up until this point the hawks have had little success. One slammed into our back window in pursuit and we had quite a laugh. But, honestly, it was only a matter of time before the hawks triumphed. Today a kestrel took one of our juncos. It celebrated it's victory by setting up roost near our picnic table! Here is a pic of one of the redtail hawks that was circling this morning.

Our Little Fly Tyer

Ollie is now a year and a half! Last time he was over he climbed up to Ryan's fly tying table and began to carefully examine all of the accessories.. thread, feathers, wire, exc. He's a little fly fisherman in the making. We can't believe that he is getting so big. His favorite words are truck, stuck, ball, no, and my personal favorite - cheese. Ollie LOVES cheese. Ryan and I were babysitting last week and Ollie requested it for breakfast! Also whenever I pull out the camera, there's an instant "CHEESE!" followed by a huge shameless grin. He is such the little ham! We adore him. The other thing that tickles us to death is that Ollie runs around shouting "JOSH!" all of the time. The funniest part is that it doesn't matter if Josh is around or not. It's almost as if he's heard Nicole call Josh so many times that he thinks that your supposed say "Josh" every couple minutes just for the fun of it. It's quite amusing! He loves his daddy!

Chicken Feast

Last weekend we feasted on "grill master" Ryan's new specialty, beer can chicken. It is so favorful and juicy... a new favorite. Check those beautiful birds!
