My sweet brother, Nathan, was in town this weekend for a CSU college visit. He is a senior this year and will be attending CSU next fall. I can barely contain my excitement! We have lived in different cities for almost 10 years now and I am really looking forward to having him close by again. I love him more than words can explain!
Hello friends & family! So I'm turning over a new leaf! I've spent the last couple of weeks getting more organized with my personal photography. I'm in the process of uploading all of our photos (that's right ALL of our photos) to my Smugmug site. It's going to be a slow process but there you have it. So, if you want copies of the photos we've taken, they will be right there waiting for you. You can also order high quality prints through the site. Each gallery is password protected, but if you know us well they should be easy to figure out. Email me if you have any trouble!
If you don't know about Smugmug, I highly recommend it. It is essentially an online hard drive with unlimited storage space for your photos. You can upload your full-res photos to their site and they will store them for you! You can share galleries with friends & family, order prints online, and more. The cost for a standard account is $39.95 a year, but if you type in coupon code 'rgYTeiPGMUqwk' you can save $5 off the subscription price. Why I'm am I plugging this? Well, quite simply because this website has already changed my (very photo-centric) life. Now I never have to worry about my external hard drive crashing and loosing my memories & hard work. And you guys have full access to download the full-res negatives or order prints. Music to my ears!
Tifah & I have been steadfast friends since Jr. High School. She introduced Ryan & I and was bridesmaid in our wedding 4 years ago. This past weekend I was honored to stand up for her as she & Reid took their vows! It was a packed weekend of sewing, flower arranging, and the occasional game of "Name this 80's hit/movie theme song." It was so fun to celebrate with everyone!
Although being in the wedding relieved me of my photographer duties, I was elated when Tifah asked if I would tag along with their photographer Ryan Booth to take photos of her & Reid after the ceremony.

The reception was at the Louisville Park... dancing, lots of laughs, and catering by Chick-fil-A! Amazing!

A good friend from childhood, Jenna Dee Detro, & I recently reconnected to find that we were both pursuing careers in photography. Jenna Dee's current focus is on children & families (and web design) but I convinced her that weddings are the BOMB! So she flew up to photograph a wedding with Ryan & I. We also spent some time snapping picks at the ranch & Rocky Mountain National Park. We've come a long way since our high school photography elective 13 years ago. Ryan & I photographed our friends Katie & Tim's wedding last weekend in Dolores, CO. It was absolutely amazing!! It was located at a camp called Stone Mountain which was right on the Dolores River. We had such a great time! I will post photos here soon!
