Little Sam's Baby Sweater

We are very excited about the close arrival of our newest nephew, Sam. Cherie is due on Sept 13th. As most of you know, I love to knit. I just couldn't resist making Sam a baby sweater. Here is the finished product!

Bizarre Moth

We have a lot of unique moths here, but this is one of the more bizarre ones. It was huge too... about 2 inches wide.

Apricot Tree

We discovered that we have an apricot tree here at the ranch. Unfortunately, we only had a single fruit. Just as the blooms set this spring we had a wind storm with 80mph winds. So we lost all of the blooms. Better luck next year, hopefully!

Waterlilies at Denver Botanic Gardens

The waterlilies & lotus blossoms at Denver Botanic Gardens were in full bloom mid-July when Cindy, Nicole, Ollie, and I went down for the day. They were absolutely gorgeous and I thought that I would share a few pictures with you all.

Mr. Toad

We have a resident toad at the ranch. He comes out every evening after dark and licks the moths off of our screen door. He has become quite comfortable with Ryan and I... especially since one our evening highlights is throwing moths in front of his face so we can watch his tongue lap them up. Try it sometime! It's quite entertaining.

Nathan's Visit

In early July, Nathan came out to visit for a couple weeks. It was great to have him around for a bit. We watched our favorite funny movies together... something Nathan and I commonly do when we get together. Ryan and I took him fly fishing in the Poudre Canyon. We also went to New Belgium to replace Nathan's broken NB frisbee. Fun times!
