Meeting Beckett

Last weekend Ryan's cousins came out to Colorado for work and were able to stay with us for 5 nights! We were so excited to see them... but we were most excited to meet Brett & Brandi's newest addition - one month old, Beckett Charles Arndt. The name Beckett means "one who dwells by the brook." We were honored tag along for Beckett's very first fishing trip.

Courtney Visits

My sweet friend Courtney flew up from Austin to visit Tifah & I last week. The 3 of us grew-up together and have been close friends since middle school. It was so special to all be together again. We spent some time in Boulder and then Courtney came up to Fort Collins for a couple days. The greatest part about this trip was knowing that we will be together again in 3 months... Tifah & Reid are getting married!

Brett & Brandi Visit

Ryan's cousin Brett & his wife Brandi stopped through and stayed with us for a couple days. We enjoy their company so much! We all went down to the North Fork and the boys fished while Brandi & I chilled... literally. (I know, I know.. dorky joke!) Brett & Brandi are expecting a baby boy at the end of June. We are excited to meet the little tyke... whom we refer to as Brettrick 2.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had everyone up to the ranch this year for Thanksgiving. Ryan smoked 2 turkeys and we had all of the fixins. In true "Mojo" style we fit everyone (11 adults & 2 youngsters) around one x-large table. It was a feast!

Check out my adorable nephews sporting their plaid flannel digs. Ollie talks about "baby Sam" all of the time. He was so excited to get to hold him. The next morning after Jolly, Cherie, & Sam left the ranch, Ollie went from room to room asking, "Where's baby Sam?" No doubt they will be causing trouble together for years to come.

Cousins Reunion

Corrie, Heather, and their girls (Jenna, Sophie, & Susannah) came up to Fort Collins on Saturday to visit and meet little Samuel. It was great to catch up and spend time with them. We had so much fun growing up together... playing freeze, slumber parties in "little house", surfing down the stairs on a mattress.. and the list continues. From a young age, our parents constantly dressed us up for photo shoots and it was such a strange feeling to be taking pictures of the cousins' kids together. It's official - we're old.

Me, Heather & Susannah, Jolly & Samuel, Corrie with Jenna & Sophie. I know what you're thinking.. something's missing!?! You're right! Our children, Gunner & Lucy.

THE PHOTO SHOOT
We were so excited to finally meet little Susannah! She is such a smiler.

Nathan's Visit

In early July, Nathan came out to visit for a couple weeks. It was great to have him around for a bit. We watched our favorite funny movies together... something Nathan and I commonly do when we get together. Ryan and I took him fly fishing in the Poudre Canyon. We also went to New Belgium to replace Nathan's broken NB frisbee. Fun times!

Jolly and Cherie came out to the ranch to spend the night and we went for a morning walk with the dogs.

Jenna & Sophie

Today my cousin Corrie and her husband Sean came up to the Ranch to visit and I took some photos of the girls while they were here. Jenna & Sophie are such beautiful girls... and so uniquely different! Here are some of my favorites.

Happy New Year!

After Christmas, we drove up to Frisco to stay at a condo with my family for a couple days. We were supposed to come home New Year's Eve to celebrate at the ranch, but our plans were foiled when 70 mph winds shut down I-70 for 2 days. Thankfully, the people who were staying at the condo next couldn't get there.. so we had a place to stay. Otherwise, we would've had a very unique New Year's celebration at the Red Cross Shelter.

Merry Christmas!

For Christmas, we had the whole crew up at the ranch. We had... Josh, Nicole, & Ollie, Bruce & Cindy, Jolly & Cherie, Nathan, Dad, Gail & Val, Grandma Betty, & Uncle Bill. It was so fun getting to celebrate with everyone! We even got a white Christmas!!

My Birthday!

I turned 26 yesterday, but we've been celebrating for days now. It all started last Tuesday.. Josh and Nicole came over to spend the night and cooked us an amazing dinner. On Friday 40 of our closet friends came out to the ranch for a mad dance party. Several people spent the night and Saturday we hiked around the property and Greg introduced us to his amazing kite! It doesn't look like much, but this kite is ridiculous! On Sunday, my mom and Nathan came up. And yesterday (my birthday) my dad flew in. Cherie, of course, cooked up a gourmet feast and we chowed - complete with a flourless chocolate cake! My favorite! What a celebration! I feel so blessed! Today Ryan and I are flying out to San Fran to visit Bruce & Cindy! I can hardly wait!

One last New Belgium stop

We made one last trip to New Belgium before my mom headed out. That girl loves her LaFolie! For those of you who haven't been to the brewery, LaFolie is a aged sour brown beer that is only available here in Fort Collins. Every time Mojo comes to town we make several stops through New Beligium for tasters and she always shmooses her way into getting a couple extras.

Landscaping!!!

Mojo came to town this week and we decided to tackle a huge project... the flower bed. Most of you know that Ryan & I love to garden. But we haven't had much luck with keeping things alive with the rabbits & our "ranch" soil. So we bought a truck load of good dirt and went to town! Cherie even came up for the day to help with the effort. We had a blast! And the finished project looks amazing!
